What does Megan Franzen love even more than leafy greens? People. She is constantly inspired by her clients, who teach her every day how to be a more dynamic health counselor.
How did Megan get into health counseling? It all started in 2002 when she found herself very ill, new to New York City and looking for healers. After trying so many different avenues, she found the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in 2003. A month later, she quit her stale advertising agency job and began her training in holistic health counseling at the Institute. As she progressed with the curriculum, an amazing thing happened – she learned how to heal herself! Megan was so amazed at the result, she decided it would be a disservice NOT to spread the word to others who, like her former self, are desperate to be cured of depression, cravings, mood swings, severe PMS, digestion problems, and many other health concerns.
Finally able to enjoy the balanced life that she was looking for, Megan now supports women in all stages of life, with emphasis on moms. She loves to work with women who would like to be moms, pregnant moms and new moms in particular. Being a mom, she understands the self - family - work balance that is constantly in flux for women.
Megan has a spiritual connection with music – hence the company name Angel Song Health. In the Bible, angels visit only when they have a message of life-altering importance. Megan has heard the angel song in her own life and lives to support others in being open to hearing their own angel’s song.
A graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, Megan is accredited by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners and has been studying and counseling around nutrition and diet’s effect on health since 2003. Proudly, Megan resides with her son in Astoria (Queens), New York. She meets with clients in person and via phone sessions.
